Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #31: Year of the Flowers

Hi!  Laurie from Hiding in My Craft Room here!  I am so excited!  This is my first time to host the challenge and I hope you find it a good one!

Okay, so here goes!  The challenge is:

1.  Use a flower set, if you have it Papertrey Ink, Year of the Flowers set.
2.  Use a designer paper.  If you don't have any, make your own.  I actually used SU designer paper Real Red and stamped using the flower images.  But I could have just stamped on plain paper and it would have been pretty too! 
3.  Use at least three different colors.

Paper Dolls Challenge #30

Hi everyone! It's me Laurie! Hope you are all having a fantastic New Year so far! I am here today with our second challenge of the year! I have a challenge today that was a sort of resolution for me! I have all this felt and all these dies and yet I don't use the two together!

SO, my challenge for you (and me!) is to use your felt with a die! That's it!

Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #29

Hello Everyone,

The start of a new year comes a new series of Papertrey Paper Doll Challenges. I am the first host of the new year and I am excited to kick it off. I have to admit that I am still not back to my regular routine after the holidays. As a result, I decided that this Challenge would be based on a theme. The theme I have chosen is simplicity. This card is all about keeping it simple. I look forward to seeing what each of you create while trying to keep it simple.

Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #28

Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving!  It's my (Michelle-abzzymom) turn to host a challenge.

What I love about the holidays are all the wonderful colors of the season. The beautiful reds, greens, golds and silvers are so pleasing to the eye.  As much as I appreciate the traditional colors of Christmas, I also like to incorporate non-traditional colors when creating my cards or decorating my house. I like the unexpected element of using purples, pinks, and teals. My brain starts to tingle when I see an unusual color amongst the usual holiday colors.

My challenge to you is to create a holiday card or project using non-traditional colors.  That doesn't mean you can't use red, green, gold or silver.  You just have to incorporate a surprise color in your creation.

For my card, I used Simply Chartreuse, Fine Linen, and Plum Pudding. The focal point is from Dawn's cute On Ice stamp set.

 I can't wait to see what you make. I would really love to see someone make a Christmas card that has a bit of Orange Zest in it.  That's a color I'm still having a hard time using for my holiday cards. Have fun!

Hello and Happy Holidays!

It's Amy here and I am very happy to be hosting this week's challenge!!

Is everyone starting to become busy during this holiday season?  I know it's only going to

get busier as Thanksgiving and Christmas get closer. 

So when it came to my challenge theme this week, I thought it would be fun

to "revisit" a couple of sets that make it easy to add just the right touch!
What sets you may ask?  I know I haven't used these sets as I had hoped, so I thought why

not focus on these for my challenge!

My challenge is to create a card using these sets......any colors, any theme, anything goes.

PPD Challenge #25: A Non-Traditional Fall

Hello everyone! Happy October!

I am so happy to be hosting the Challenge this week. Since I was away, my mind is stuck in PTI-land as it existed months ago. I have too many sets that have not been inked up and a few releases to catch up on. BUT I have been lurking and this card by Maile Belles is one that sticks out in my mind as one of my favorites recently:

Why do I love this card so much? I think it's because the card uses non-traditional colors (no orange!) for a Fall themed card. Since this is the look I am shooting for with my Halloween cards this year, I thought it would be fun to challenge everyone here to create a Halloween or Fall-themed card not using any orange. None. Nada. Zip. It can be any size or have any layout that you like.

I am really excited to see what you all come up with! Here is one that I came up with:
